Overview
Drafts and temperature swings are usually the first thing homeowners notice.
Sealing the envelope reduces what gets pulled in from attics and crawlspaces.
Air sealing is often an important first step because it addresses uncontrolled leakage at the building envelope.

How it works
Step 1Locate and rank leakage paths.
Step 2Identify the priority leakage areas and design the appropriate sealing plan.
Step 3Materials matched to each location and temperature.
Step 4Confirm the change and check combustion safety.
Straight answers
Every home and every comfort or efficiency problem is different, so Citadel does not provide one-size-fits-all pricing before diagnosing the home. Your initial in-person home energy and comfort assessment is free. After the assessment, we'll explain what we found and present the improvement options appropriate for your home, priorities and financing preferences. You'll have clear information before deciding how to proceed.
We can begin planning your project as soon as your home has been assessed, the underlying issues have been diagnosed, and you have confirmed the improvement package and financing option that are right for you. Installation timing depends on project scope, equipment or material availability, permitting requirements and the current schedule.
The improvements we recommend are designed to reduce waste and help your home operate more efficiently. The amount of potential savings varies based on the problems we identify, your home's existing condition, the package you select, local weather, utility rates and how the home is used. We'll explain where energy is being lost and which improvements are expected to make the greatest difference.
The assessment will determine whether this improvement is appropriate for your home. If another solution would address the underlying problem more effectively, we'll explain that instead.
